Ramadan is a month of mercy, blessings, and selflessness. It is a sacred time when those who are more fortunate step forward to support the needy and feel the pain of humanity. Turning this spirit into action, Minhaj Welfare Foundation carried out a remarkable humanitarian aid initiative this Ramadan, delivering Ramadan Family Food Packs and livelihood support to millions of people across various cities in Pakistan.
In this regard, a large and memorable mega event was held in Lahore, Pakistan, where a significant number of deserving families were provided food ration packs with dignity and respect. Welfare workers, volunteers, and generous donors actively participated, presenting a true reflection of the Islamic values of brotherhood, compassion, and mutual support.
Not only in Lahore, but this initiative was expanded to many other cities across the country. In Islamabad, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Pattoki, Karachi, Hafizabad, Peshawar, Khanewal, Minhaj University Lahore, and Wazirabad, volunteers from Minhaj Welfare Foundation went door-to-door to deliver ration packs to deserving families, ensuring they too could benefit from the blessings of Ramadan.
Similarly, in areas of Lahore such as Daroghawala and Township, special ration distribution campaigns were carried out, providing hundreds of families with essential food supplies. These ration packs included flour, rice, lentils, ghee, sugar, and other necessities, enabling families to prepare Suhoor and Iftar with dignity.
Furthermore, in the cold and remote regions of Kaghan Valley, the Minhaj Welfare Foundation continued its relief efforts under its winter appeal. Despite harsh weather and snowfall, volunteers reached distant areas to provide ration packs and essential supplies to families in need. This reflects the reality that serving humanity is not bound by season or location.
The efforts of Minhaj Welfare Foundation go beyond simply distributing food; they represent a broader commitment to building a society where no one sleeps hungry and everyone has access to basic necessities of life. The dedication of volunteers, the generosity of donors, and the trust of the public have all played a vital role.
Minhaj Welfare Foundation serves humanity beyond the boundaries of religion, nationality, and race. Ration packs were also distributed within Hindu communities to ensure the protection of minority rights, reflecting Islam’s message of compassion and humanity for all.
Ramadan teaches us to care for those around us and to dedicate a portion of our resources to those in need. This campaign is a practical embodiment of that message. Let us pledge to continue this spirit throughout the year, supporting the vulnerable and standing by those in need.
