An extremist party in India, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has given a 48 hours deadline to Pakistani actors and artists to leave India and has demanded to ban Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Raees to release in their state.
Creating an increased tension between both India and Pakistan, MNS party has threatened Pakistani actors, especially Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan to leave their country or they will be ‘pushed out’ if they fail to meet the deadline.
MNS leader Amey Khopkar, chief of the MNS’s cinema workers’ unit Chitrapat Karamchari Sena, informed a news agency, “We give a 48-hour deadline to Pakistani actors and artists to leave India, or MNS will push them out.”
He added, “Pakistani artistes will get beaten up. Along with them, we will also beat up whichever producer or director is with them.”
The MNS party has also threatened that they won’t let Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil that stars Fawad Khan and ShahRukh Khan’s Raees that stars Mahira Khan in the lead, release in India.
“We won’t let ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ & ‘Raees’ release as it has Pakistani actors,” MNS added.
This threat is given after an Indian blogger Soumyadipta Banerjee told Pakistani actor Fawad Khan to leave India, blaming Pakistan for attacking an army base in India. It is also reported that Pakistani artists in India have been receiving threats from the Shiv Sena party lately and Pakistani vocalist Ghulam Ali was forced to cancel his show in Mumbai.
