Over 735,000 Qurbanis’ Delivered Across Pakistan by Minhaj Welfare Foundation

Hunger, poverty and food insecurity are unpleasant realities that millions of less fortunate people must deal with. Meat is a luxury to them, which they eat once or twice in a year, and it is not a part of their regular meals either. Minhaj Welfare Foundation is continuing its efforts to ensure that the real spirit of Qurbani reaches the needy who can have an opportunity to come together in celebrating the important event of Eid al-Adha.

The Minhaj Welfare Foundation is a humanitarian aid organisation providing food relief, emergency assistance, healthcare, education, sustainable development and livelihood support to the underprivileged. Through these ongoing efforts, they are helping families triumph over poverty and adversity and to build resilient communities.

Pakistan’s poverty rate has grown dramatically by early 2026 as a result of surging economic crisis, inflation, and the long-term impacts of the calamitous floods, most recent of it being in 2025, which was declared the worst to ever hit the nation, collapsing lives and infrastructure. Families, particularly in rural and neglected areas, are always running hand to mouth, struggling to meet their most basic necessities.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation continued with its biggest HelpFeed campaign this year as well, under which its dedicated team carried out this holy duty of Qurbani with utmost care and diligence. In accordance with and in compliance with the Islamic law and principles of Shariah, all the Qurbani sacrifices are conducted according to the requests and intentions of the numerous donors trusting the organisation to carry out the Qurbani on behalf of themselves, their loved ones and even for their departed family members.

The Qurbani meat was carefully cleaned, prepared, and stored in hygienic environments before being thoughtfully portioned and packed for delivery. To maintain freshness and quality in Pakistan’s intense summer temperatures, each package was securely placed in thermophore boxes with dry ice.

The team members of Minhaj Welfare Foundation braved the challenging weather conditions, going above and beyond to personally hand-deliver over 735,000 Qurbanis’ to deserving families and individuals across Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Jhang, Jhelum, Nizam-ul-Madaris, Peshawar, Swat, Buner, Ali Pur, Multan, Lodhran, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Mian Chunnu, Vehari, Depalpur, Kasur, Muzaffargarh, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, and Wah Cantt, reaching widows, elderly individuals, orphaned children, people living with disabilities, families displaced by natural disasters, and households struggling with severe food insecurity. In homes where celebrations may otherwise have been overshadowed by financial hardship, the spirit of Eid was able to shine through once again.

The consistent generosity of donors and supporters who continue to have faith in the humanitarian efforts of the Minhaj Welfare Foundation lies behind every delivery of the Qurbani meat. Their empathy makes it possible for the organisation to keep helping families going through difficulties and reaching underserved communities.

The Minhaj Welfare Foundation is still dedicated to helping people with honesty and kindness as we celebrate Eid al-Adha today. The organisation continues to strive toward a future where distressed and poverty-stricken communities are strengthened, dignity is upheld, and no one is left behind in times of hardship.
