Metro Cash & Carry Pakistan supermarket chain has announced that it will be closing down its university road branch in Karachi after an employee of the store tested positive for corona virus.
The announcement of shutting down the store was shared by the management on their Official Facebook Page.
Using the hashtag #METROCARES, the management has shared the news that apart from closing down the store, they will also be conducting Covid-19 testing for all its employees and following the needful precautions and guidelines set by the government.
Metro Cash & Carry management stated that its employees and customers are very important and that their safety comes first.
The store is to remain close until further notice as per the announcement.
The nationwide tally of Covid-19 patients stands at 8,275 with 3,686 cases in Punjab, 2,537 in Sindh, 1,137 in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, 432 in Balochistan, 263 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 171 in Islamabad, and 49 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The virus has claimed 168 lives while at least 1,868 coronavirus patients have recovered.
