After 8 long years , Hina Khan has finally quit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. While rumours of her exit have been circulating for a long time, the news has been finally put to rest by a statement by Hina Khan herself.
She is supposed to shoot for the show till the end of the month.
The makers of this insanely popular show have decided to deal with Hina Khan’s departure by killing off her character. She confirmed the news with an online website and was quoted as saying , “Yes, I am quitting the show this month. With a heavy heart, my journey in Yeh Rishta has come to an end. Of course, I know people are emotionally attached but everything has a saturation point. I want to progress in my life. Many times I have said I am never going part of this show but Rajan Sir has taught me that never say never.”
According to sources Hina Khan wants to try her hand at comedy and reality shows next. There is also some buzz that she will turn producer for her production house Faar Better Films.
With Hina’s exit, the show will shift focus to her daughter Naira’s story. Naira and Karthik’s marriage will show Naira’s journey as a daughter in law similar to what happened with Akshara.
Hina is not the first of the main characters to exit from the show this year. Earlier Karan Mehra who played the role of her husband Naitik quit the show. This departure was followed by Rohan Mehra’s exit who played their son Naksh.
This year has been a year for many exits from the show. The lead actor of the show Karan Mehra, who was playing Naitik for last seven years, quit the show.
Rumours are also swirling of Hina Khan joining Rohan Mehra and Karan Mehra in the Bigg Boss 10 House as a wild card entry.
