Zee Zindagi TV, being the first Indian channel to broadcast dramas and shows from the countries like Pakistan and Turkey, puts a ban on showcasing Pakistani dramas in India. The tension between the two countries, India and Pakistan has soared over the recent attack in Uri, and it seems like Pakistani artists and their work in India are in trouble.
Subhash Chandra, Chairman at ZEE and Essel Group, referring to the speech of Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at UN General Assembly, “unfortunate”, he tweeted, “Unfortunate stance of Mia Sharif at UN. Zee is considering stopping Zindagi programmes from Pakistan. Artistes from there should leave.”

In the present circumstances, after the Indian extremist party, MNS had openly threatened Pakistani actors to leave India within the time span of 48 hours or they’ll get “pushed out” of the country, Zindagi channel decides to ban all Pakistani TV dramas and shows to go on air in India.
Launched in 2014, Zee Zindagi TV was the first channel to start working on content collaboration from Pakistan. Dramas like Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Waqt Ne Kiya Kya Haseen Sitam, Sasural Ki Galli, Noor Bano, Main Bushra and Jab We Wed gained a lot of popularity among Indian masses.
