Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) announced their 2021 Asian Universities last week. 4 Pakistani universities made it to the list among the 150 top Asian universities.
The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) was ranked as the highest among other Pakistani universities and the only Pakistani university in top 100. NUST has been ranked 76th top university in Asia for the year 2021.
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) started publishing Asian University rankings in 2009 and continued to recognise top Asian universities each year. QS Asia University Rankings consider the following factors while compiling year’s rankings.

- Employer reputation
- Faculty/student ratio
- International research network
- Citations per paper
- Papers per faculty
- Staff with a PhD
- Proportion of international faculty
- Proportion of international students
- Proportion of inbound exchange students
