The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) has launched the National Freelance Training Program, aimed at providing up-to-date training to aspiring freelancers looking to pursue a career in freelancing.
Under the joint collaboration of MoITT and the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), the National Freelance Training Program has been announced and is currently accepting applications for its upcoming phase.
The primary objective of this initiative is to empower and educate the youth, offering them a platform to earn and thrive. Through this program, young individuals across Pakistan will have access to online employment opportunities, enabling them to establish themselves as successful freelancers within the country.
By engaging in the NFTP, individuals will undergo training in sought-after digital skills, equipping them to generate a substantial income through diverse freelancing platforms. Several online platforms exist, offering remarkable opportunities for freelancers to earn a lucrative income from the comfort of their homes.
To date, more than 11,000 students have successfully completed their training through the program, collectively earning over $2.25 million in foreign exchange.
Becoming a Freelancer through the National Freelance Training Program: A Step-by-Step Guide
The Pakistani government has made substantial investments in education, particularly targeting the youth population. These programs aim to create opportunities for young individuals to thrive economically while fostering international communication and collaboration. To encourage participation, the government is offering substantial discounts ranging from 70% to 100%.
Here are the eligibility requirements for admission into the program:
- Possess a valid National Identity Card (NIC).
- Reside in the respective province.
- Have completed at least 14 years of education.
- Fall within the age range of 18 to 40 years.

Centers Across Various Locations:
In line with the government’s commitment to educate individuals, several centers have been established to cater to learners’ needs. These 20 centers are strategically positioned across the country to ensure easy access to training opportunities. The program focuses on empowering unemployed youth by providing three months of comprehensive training in Technical Content Marketing, Advertising, and Creative Designing.
Furthermore, the NFTP offers a diverse array of courses, including web development, graphic design, writing, and marketing. Skilled professionals are employed by the program authorities, and students have access to a wide range of resources, such as online learning platforms, mentors, and networking opportunities.
Upon successful completion of the program, candidates will receive certificates. These certificates will be awarded based on formal performance evaluation and rating, taking into account factors such as attendance, student performance, and completion of assignments.
The course curriculum will be delivered through various modes throughout the program’s duration, which spans three months.
