The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and Excise and Taxation Department teams have launched door-to-door service to register vehicles. This step has been taken to ease the problems of the people caused due to the lockdown imposed in the city. Islamabad Excise and Taxation Director said “The decision has been taken in view of the lockdown imposed in the country due to coronavirus.”
According to details, the team will also issue registration and number plates at the personal residences of the owner. Islamabad Excise and Taxation Director said they are implementing the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He further said: “The registration of cars will be enrolled on customer’s doorstep. The team for registration will include an officer from the Excise Department and a team member of NADRA.”
According to the director of the excise department, the citizens can refrain from going to the excise office and wait in the queues.
Following are the simple steps to register your vehicle from home:
- Call NADRA for registration of vehicle
- NADRA will take the relevant details of the customer
- NADRA team and Excise Department will go home of the customer
- Register the vehicles
The facility will continue to be provided in the excise office even after the lockdown is eased.
