We knew Sonakshi Sinha isn’t your mainstream kind of actress but her latest movie — Noor’s trailer proves that this girl is just like all of us.
Noor — the movie is loosely based on Pakistani author, Saba Imtiaz’s novel, Karachi You’re killing!. The story follows the life of a goofy slightly chubby journalist and her misadventures in Karachi.
But the movie has replaced Karachi with Mumbai — we all know why.
Watch the trailer here:
Directed by Sunhil Sippy, Noor’s cast also includes Kanan Gill, Shibani Dandekar and Purab Kohli in substantial roles. Now coming to the good and bad of the trailer
Kudos to Sonakshi Sinha and the makers of the movie for keeping her get up realistically de-glam and professional. The goofy, slightly clumsy side of Sonakshi is way more relatable than the glamorous one she often portrays.
The second half of the trailer shows the investigative serious side of the story that looks similar to Rani Mukherji’s No One Killed Jessica.
Sunny Leone will do a cameo on the film.
And keeping up with the latest actor-turn-singer trend, Sonakshi will sing the title track. The movie will hit the theatres on April 21st, 2017.
