Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has announced that he will be taking time off acting as he has been diagnosed with Lung Cancer.
The Vaastav actor took to Twitter to announce the news all the while urging everyone “not to worry”
“Hi friends, I am taking a short break from work for some medical treatment. My family and friends are with me and I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate.
With your love and good wishes, “I will be back soon!” he said

On Saturday, August 8, the actor was admitted to Lilavati Hospital after experiencing breathlessness and was discharged two days later. He took to social media to announce that he did not have coronavirus.
Just wanted to assure everyone that I’m doing well. I’m currently under medical observation & my COVID-19 report is negative. With the help & care of the doctors, nurses & staff at Lilavati hospital, I should be home in a day or two. Thank you for your well wishes & blessings 🙏

Later in the night, film trade analyst and journalist Komal Nahta tweeted that Dutt has been diagnosed with lung cancer.

Now, reports say that Sanjay Dutt is likely to fly off to the US for treatment. A close friend of the actor told a website that the actor is devastated.
He added that the actor is worried about his children who are currently in Dubai with Maanayata Dutt.
Recently after the sudden deaths of actors Irfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor due to ailments, fans all over the world are concerned for the health of the legendary actor.
In 2019, the actor had featured in three movies — Ashutosh Gowariker’s period drama Panipat, Karan Johar-produced Kalank and political drama Prassthanam.
