UPaisa has facilitated its customers by completely removing the charges on all transactions using mobile wallet accounts in order to provide convenience amidst coronavirus spread for the users to transfer money safely from the comfort of their home.
As per the directive of State Bank of Pakistan in March in response to the coronavirus spread, charges on money transfer to other bank accounts from mobile wallets were also removed. Now with this move, all types of money transfer transactions will be free from the UPaisa wallet.
Now customers will be able to send money to anyone in Pakistan with a valid CNIC by selecting send money and then selecting the CNIC option from the menu. Simply, Ufone customers can dial *786# from their Ufone SIM, accept the terms and conditions, enter CNIC issuance date, and create MPIN upon receiving confirmation SMS and open the account.
Money can also be deposited into UPaisa account from any other bank account by simply selecting U Microfinance Bank from the list and adding the UPaisa wallet account/mobile number.
UPaisa aims to fulfil the basic financial services needs of the customers including deposits, money transfer, bill payments, mobile top-ups, ATM cards, and payments for a variety of services.
The decision comes for people to stay indoors and not go out hence increasing the spread of Covid-19 and avoid the trip to a UPaisa store or the bank entirely.
