The 7th generation Honda City that was introduced globally a couple of years back is coming to Pakistan in 2021.
According to the source, Honda Atlas will introduce these new models and generations, to recapture the local market as since last year, the company has faced a sales decline of 63% in Pakistan due to the COVID-19 lockdown. But as the lockdown was lifted, the automaker is slowly gaining the chunk of the lost market share.
The Honda City hatchback is expected to feature the same 1.0 litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that is available on the Thailand-spec model. It offers a maximum power of 122 PS and a torque of 173 Nm.
The motor comes mated to a CVT. Also, the City hatchback could get hybrid powertrain of the Jazz e-HEV. The hybrid setup comprises a 98 PS/127 Nm 1.5 litre four-cylinder petrol engine that works along with a 109 PS/253 Nm electric motor.

Earlier in 2020, Honda Atlas did import a Completely Built Unit of a 6th gen Honda City from Thailand.
The “GM6” Honda City with L15Z engine which has a 1.5L engine and it is the same engine also currently available in the City in one of its variants.

The price according to sources will be around PKR 3,000,000.
Though the latest City will be an addition to the Pakistani market, it was introduced way back in 2014 around the world and now has gone obsolete.
