Nowadays, Everyone is busy in their lives and wants to get everything on their doorsteps. Unlike the old day, when you had to specially go to an office and wait for hours to get your passports or renew your passports, now you can do all of this in just a few clicks as the Pakistani government has introduced a new and very innovative Passport application service, through which you can file a Passport application and get the delivery at your doorsteps within just 24 hours. isn’t that amazing?
The name of this service is “Fast Track Service,” and for now, it is only available in DGIP’s zonal offices in Karachi, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Islamabad, and Multan.
According to DG Immigration and Passports, Dr. Naeem Rauf, Around 1,224 Passport applications were received during the trial period of the ‘Fast Track Delivery’ service, and almost all of them were delivered safely and within the stipulated time.
How to Apply for Fast Track Delivery Service?
Everyone who urgently needs their passport on their doorstep is very eager to know the process to apply for this service, however, there are some important points that you should know before applying. If you are someone who has never had a passport and is applying for the first time, then you are required to visit and apply for a new passport manually at the zonal offices of the DGIP. They can also visit the zonal office if they want to make any changes in their passports, need an extra print, or have lost their passports. This means the e-services portal of DGIP can only be used in renewal cases.
But before you submit the application for fast-track delivery of the passport, make sure you have the following required documents along with the application:
- A Scanned color copy of your CNIC/B-form.
- A Scanned color copy of your existing passport.
- For minors, scanned color copies of parents/guardians’ CNICs will also be required.
- For government employees, a scanned color copy of a NOC issued by the head of the department will be required as well.
Once you have all the required documents, now you can submit the application for fast-track delivery of the passport.
Step 1: Visit your nearest DGIP zonal office.
Step 2: Once you have visited the DGIP office, get the ticket from the front desk to start your application process.
Step 3: Provide your correct home address so that you can receive your passport delivery.
Step 4: Provide all the necessary required information and authentic documents.
Step 5: Now, you will be required to get photographed at the office.
Step 6: Give your fingerprints on the application form.
Step 7: Verify all the information you submitted is correct, after that sign the form as per your CNIC.
Step 8: Finally, pay the fee through your credit/debit card and the procedure is complete.
After successfully completing the steps mentioned above, your passport will be delivered to your doorstep within 24 hours.
