ISLAMABAD: Luxurious German fashion brand Hugo Boss has chosen a Pakistani company for the very first time in history for their first order of sportswear, offering Pakistani clothing industry a huge and rare opportunity.
Prime Minister Imran Khan Advisor on Commerce and Investment, Abdul Razak Dawood announced this news via Twitter. He also stated that the credit for this achievement was due to the effort of Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PRGMEA) for holding the 35th IAF Convention in November 2019, in Lahore.
Happy to note that well known brand, Hugo Boss, has placed its first order of sportswear to a Pakistani company. This achievement was due to the effort of PRGMEA for holding the 35th IAF Fashion Convention in Nov last year, in Lahore. Congratulations to Ijaz Khokhar and PRGMEA.

Last week, Advisor to the Prime Minister Imran Khan, Abdul Razak Dawood, also said in a meeting with a delegation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry at the Ministry of Commerce that:
“It is the need of the hour for Pakistan to run after ‘Make in Pakistan’ policy and rapid industrialization for substituting the imports and enhancing our exports”.
The ready-made garment industry is one of the more important small-scale industries in Pakistan with a huge demand for its products both at national and international level.
