Ranveer Singh is set to star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next magnum opus Padmavati. The movie is going to show the saga of Alauddin Khilji who is believed to be the most powerful ruler of his dynasty.
He attacked Chittor after hearing the beauty of queen of Chittor, Rani Padmini, the wife of Rawal Ratan Singh.While Deepika is going to play the role of Padmini, Shahid is playing her husband Rawal Ratan.
Ranveer shared the first look of his character and captioned it as “XVII. XI. XVII” , the movie’s possible release date.
Though this is Ranveer’s first time playing a negative character with such dark shades , this picture shows how perfect of a match Ranveer is for the role.
