Sundal Khattak, a well-known TikToker, has been taken into custody by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) after her bail plea was rejected by the court. The case revolves around the release of private videos featuring social media celebrity Hareem Shah.
The hearing of the video leak case was conducted by a Special Judge in Central Islamabad, with Shah and the accused, Khattak, present in court along with their legal representatives.
During the proceedings, the accused maintained that she was neither involved in creating nor leaking Shah’s videos. Khattak further stated that she had been subjected to harassment by Shah for several years.
Khattak asserted, “Hareem has been blackmailing me using inappropriate photos.”
Meanwhile, Shah presented the alleged videos and pictures as evidence before the court.
In an interaction with reporters, Hareem Shah confidently stated, “I have obtained evidence in the case, including the source of the video posts and the accounts used. I possess all the necessary evidence.”
Expressing her relief, Shah remarked, “Alhamdulillah, she [referring to Sundal] has been arrested.” She made it clear that there is no room for a “settlement” in the matter, believing that if it were to be settled, the accused might repeat such actions with someone else.
Shah went on to mention that Sundal has a criminal record and has been previously apprehended at a guest house in Islamabad. Shah questioned Sundal’s character, emphasizing her unfavorable opinion of the accused.
Regarding Ayesha Naz, Shah revealed that she has filed two cases against her, suggesting that legal action has been taken in response to Naz’s alleged involvement in the incident.
In March, Hareem Shah released a statement addressing the viral circulation of her private videos on the internet. In a video, she claimed that the videos were “leaked” by women whom she considered her friends. Shah specifically named Khattak and Ayesha Naz, with whom she had previously lived, as the individuals responsible for the dissemination of the viral videos. Shah explained that due to their close association and shared living arrangements, Khattak and Naz had access to her mobile phone and knowledge of her passwords.
Additionally, Shah disclosed that she had filed a complaint with the Federal Investigation Agency against Naz. However, she expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of action taken by the FIA. Shah suspected Naz of informing their mutual friends about her intention to release the videos. Despite the ordeal, Shah emphasized her indifference towards the videos.
