The Prime Minister Youth Program (PMYM) has introduced a laptop scheme for young individuals, which is being implemented by the federal government. As part of this initiative, more than one hundred thousand laptops will be distributed to students.

Previously, the PM Youth Laptop scheme was halted by the PTI government. However, the current administration has made the decision to empower students by providing them with laptops through the Prime Minister Youth Program scheme.

Shortly after the announcement of the program’s revival by the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs, Shaza Fatima, applications have now been finally opened for Phase-VI of the PM’s Youth Laptop Scheme.

PM Laptop Scheme 2023 Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for the PM Laptop Scheme 2023 are as follows:

  1. Students must possess a valid CNIC/B-Form number.
  2. Students must be validly enrolled as of the closing date for application submission.
  3. Students enrolled in Ph.D./MS/MPhil or equivalent 18-year programs are eligible.
  4. Students enrolled in a 4-year or 5-year bachelor’s degree program are eligible.
  5. Students enrolled in MBA programs of 3.5 years, 2.5 years, or 1.5 years duration are eligible.

To apply for the PM Laptop Scheme 2023, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official portal of the PM Youth Program at https://laptop.pmyp.gov.pk/.
  2. Submit the online application by providing all the necessary personal information, such as ID card number, mobile contact, and email address.
  3. After completing the registration, log in to your account.
  4. Check the status of your application by visiting the “Application Status” section.
  5. You can also find the List of Eligible Universities and colleges on the website to ensure your institution is included.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has officially declared that the deadline for the highly anticipated Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme, which is open to exceptional students in public sector universities, is set for June 20.
