Bringing their A-game this Ramadan with their tried and tested team, ARY Digital is going strong with Shan-e-Ramazan 2020. Hosted by none other than Waseem Badami along with Iqrar-ul-Hasan and a host of guest celebrities, the Ramadan transmission is divided into Sehr and Iftar shows.
The official Shan-e-Ramazan Kalaam for 2020 featured a tribute to and included the soulful voices of late Amjad Sabri and Junaid Jamshed.
Shan-e-Sehr, the live sehri transmission begins daily from 1:45 am and continues until 5:15 am. Focusing more on religious enlightenment and duas, the morning session includes recitation and discussions on religious topics.
Just like Sehri Transmission, Shan-e-Iftar is also filled with various segments, starting at 2:30 pm (LIVE) daily. The morning and afternoon transmissions are further divided into short segments including Alim o Alam where religious scholars od different sects provide insightful answers.
Shan-e-Ramazan also includes Naat competition, debate competition, Urdu poetry recitation and similar segments.
Naiki, a daily segment of Shan-e-Iftar where Iqrar ul Hassan will reach to the deserving souls who are eager for help. The transmission also includes a daily cooking segment by Chef Farah with delicious recipes with viewers.
This year due to extensive precautionary measures set by PEMRA, Shan-e-Ramzan will not be hosting a live audience or having the famed “Roza Khushayee” segment.
The show has been famously hosted by Waseem Badami since 2013. But it really took off after Junaid Jamshed who joined the show along with Waseem Badami in 2015. His humble style really resonated with the audiences, as people definitely stacked up in front of their TV Screens to hear his “dua” during Suhoor and Iftar transmission.
Junaid Jamshed, who was a regular part of Shan-e-Ramzan like Waseem Badami, lost his life in a plane crash on December 7, 2016. Over the years, Shan-e-Ramzan has hosted many celebrities like Shahid Afridi, Sanam Baloch, Hina Dilpazeer, Tasleem Ahmed Sabri, Iqrar ul Hassan, Humayun Saeed, Faysal Qureshi, Nida Yasir and many more.
Amjad Sabri has also been an integral part of the show as he has hosted and sung the official soundtrack of the show many times.
Don’t forget to tune in as the show continues to provide a culturally oriented and religiously enlightening program for the audiences.
