Hyundai Nishat Motor is preparing to launch the latest 3rd Gen Tucson facelift compact SUV in the Pakistani marketplace.
According to carspirit.com, the launch will take place on 10th August 2020, Although, The new Tucson facelift was first revealed at the Auto Expo 2020 and it was to be launched earlier this year but unfortunately due to COVID-19, it has to be delayed.
Tucson will have a sole direct competitor, recently released Korean twin, the Kia Sportage, since both Kia Sportage and Tucson has the same car performance under the metal.
So, without any further ado, let us get into the details of this new SUV right away.
Engine Performance:
The new Tucson will be equipped with 4-cylinder 2.0 liter engine, 16 valve motor with variable valve timing technology, the 2.0 engine will have the capability to generate 155 horsepower and 190 newton/meters of torque.
According to the Hyundai spokesperson in PAPS 2020, it is expected that Tucson will be made available in 4 different variants, in which 2 variants will be equipped with a 5-speed manual as well as 6-speed automatic transmission options and feature Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD). Whereas other variants shall offer Hyundai’s HTRAC All-Wheel Drive (AWD) drivetrain with the same transmission options. Furthermore, there is a possibility that it will also offer a diesel engine option.
Exterior:
If we take a close look at the exterior of the Tucson 2020, we can see at the front that they have installed new LED headlamp and LED tail-lights, The signature ‘cascading’ grille at the front has been also improved with a more stylish look, the front and rear bumpers of the vehicles have been redesigned, the car features new alloy wheels and a blacked-out B-pillar.
Interior:
Now, let us talk about the interior designing of the car, the latest Tucson SUV will come with a new and improved dashboard, better cabin and some new equipment as well.
The new SUV will offer many new and exciting cool features to the car, which includes a new 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Hyundai’s Blue Link connected technology, wireless charging system, steering-mounted controls, electrically-adjustable driver and front passenger seats, premium seating upholstery, six airbags, panoramic sunroof and much more.
