Atlas Honda Shutting Down its manufacturing plant

In a public notice issued by Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited, the Japanese automaker has announced that it’ll be closing its factory for an indefinite period of time. The notice says their first priority is the safety of its customers, employees, business partners, and therefore the wider community at large. They added that because of the coronavirus outbreak they need to “facilitate and prioritize your safety.”

The notice further says that because of the pandemic, They’re facing delays in deliveries and production schedules. The Corporate goes on to mention that the factory will remain closed until further notice, keeping in-line with the orders issued by the government.

Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited isn’t the sole major local car maker that hasn’t restarted its operations; just last week Toyota announced that they’re going to be closing their plant for further notice. Other carmakers that haven’t restarted production include Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC), Al-Haj FAW Motors, Hyundai Nishat Motor, KIA Motors, Regal, and United Auto.
