NUST Climbs at 76th Position Amongst Asian Universities

The National University of Science and Technology (NUST) is swiftly progressing with the streak of growth. On November 25, 2020,it was announced by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings 2021 that NUST has taken a leap of seven steps from 83rd and it has become the 76th best university in Asia.

 

As per the rankings NUST was put among the top 12% best Asian universities for the year 2021. NUST has not only maintained the ascending route for the last five years but also retained the best Pakistani university for the last four years. NUST has climb 36 steps in the last years in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings.

NUST also is the only Pakistani university among the top 100 universities of Asia for straight two years. 634 Asian universities were considered by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) for rankings of 2021 from 21 were from Pakistan. To determine university rankings QS takes Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty/Student Ratio, Citation per Paper, Paper(s) per Faculty, International Research Network, International Faculty, International Students, Inbound Exchange Students, and Outbound Exchange Students of a university into consideration.

NUST was placed on the 42nd rank in the region because of its strongest employee reputation indicator. It also stands among the top 100 universities according to academic reputation indicator. As for its current ranking in other categories of QS, NUST is proudly positioned at #355 in the world and #41 amongst young world universities under the age of 50. NUST also holds the unique honor of being #1 in Pakistan in all aforementioned university ranking categories.
