Pakistan Tobacco Company Office Sealed After 44 Corona Positive Employees

The coronavirus went out of control in the Nowshera district and now, the coronavirus was confirmed in 44 people in the biggest tobacco manufacturer company of Pakistan “Pakistan Tobacco Company” based in Akora Khattak.

According to the deputy commissioner, the virus has been confirmed in 44 out of 800 people while the test results of 756 people will be available by tomorrow.

The deputy commissioner said that people were not taking the series to Coronavirus which is increasing the cases. Rescue 1122 personnel have sent 44 people to quarantine centers across the district and the factory has also been sealed off. The workers in the factory are from Rashkai, Bara Banda, Risalpur, Nowshera City, Akora, and other areas.

DC Nowshera has said that lockdown has been eased to permit economic activities to resume. However, traders and customers aren’t adhering to the SOPs issued by the govt.

The violation of safety measures could lead to an increase in the number of cases within the district. As a result, the district administration is going to be forced to impose another lockdown that might be more severe than the previous one.

On the other hand, the total number of deaths from corona in the country has reached 770, while the number of confirmed cases has reached 35788 with the emergence of new cases.

The highest death toll so far has been in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where 275 people have died in Corona, 234 in Sindh, and 223 in Punjab.

In addition, 27 people have died in Balochistan, six in Islamabad, four in Gilgit-Baltistan, and one in Azad Kashmir.
