Singer Abrar Ul Haq tests positive for Coronavirus

Famed Punjabi singer, philanthropist and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader, Abrar-ul-Haq, has tested positive for coronavirus. The “Preeto” singer shared the news via his official Twitter handle and has now quarantined himself.

Earlier the singer and politician shared on his twitter handle that he was experiencing some fever and dry cough and urged people who he had interacted with to take precautionary measures as needed.

Abrar-ul-haq recently collaborated with singer “Bohemia” and the song “Paar” became an instant hit with trending in both India and Pakistan.

Abrar-ul-Haq is the Founder and Chairman of Sahara for Life Trust, a non-profit charitable organisation that provides health services to the people of Narowal and surrounding areas since 1998. On 15 November 2019, he was appointed Chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS).

Abrar-ul-Haq has been actively volunteering and providing assistance through PRCS and Sahara For Life Trust since the pandemic hit Pakistan leaving many needy without any right equipment to battle the disease and had lost their jobs.

Abrar-ul-Haq also provided aid to the affectees of the PIA plane crash that happened only two days before Eid-ul-fitr.

Abrar-ul-Haq has been able to make a name in Pakistan for himself with his unique style and music, his debut 1995 album “Billo De Ghar” sold over 40.3 million albums worldwide, which made him a household name and granted him the title of “King of Pakistani Pop”.
