Mansha Pasha says 'Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida' is not inspired by Indian film ‘Judaai’

Hum TV’s latest drama “Mohabbat Tujhe Alvida” is the latest talk of the town as the serial is being hyped as a remake of the famous Sridevi starrer “Judai” which was an Indian Blockbuster in the 1990s.

Following this hype, Mansha Pasha decided to clear the air and took to social media clarify that the story of her upcoming drama is inspired by the Sindhi folk tale Lilan Chanesar, adding that the Indian movie itself is also inspired by the classic tale.

The story revolves around three main characters of Zahid Ahmed, Sonya Hussyn and Mansha Pasha who are stuck in an uncanny love triangle when Mansha Pasha offers Sonya Hussyn money, bungalow and all the world could offer if she would only allow her to marry her husband (Zahid Ahmed), to which the character of Sonya Hussyn seemingly agrees hence opening doors to the real drama. As Zahid Ahmed slowly grows in affections for his second wife, Ulfat(Sonya Hussyn) realizes that she is losing her real wealth i.e. her husband’s love and plans to have it back all for herself once again.\

This is a plot similar to the movie which according to Mansha now has been inspired by the Sindhi play. Lilan Chanesar) is traditional story which dates back to the time of Jam Chanesar, one of the Soomra rulers in the 14th century Thatta, Sindh, Pakistan. Chanesar’s wife, spoiled and pleasure loving Lilan, is enticed by another woman’s necklace worth 900,000 rupees to allow former owner of necklace to spend one night with her husband.

Meanwhile, it is being reported that Zahid has no idea that the drama’s plot was “inspired” or copied from the famous movie.
