Pakistani Drama Dastak Na Do to raise awareness on Coronavirus Precautions

With celebrities around the world pitching in their talent and creativity to spread awareness regarding the global pandemic that has turned everyone’s life upside down suddenly, joining forces for this noble cause, Pakistani Superstar Faisal Qureshi has released a short film that documents the daily struggles and challenges in a day of a family surviving under lockdown due to covid-19.

Titled Dastak Na Do, the drama has been directed by Nadeem Baig and features Adnan Siddiqui, Saba Hameed, Sami Khan, Arjumand Rahim and Emaan Khan. The miniseries is an attempt at educating the masses through lighthearted humor by portraying realistic situations everyone is going through these days. Faisal Qureshi told in an interview. Qureshi shared that the production team went through great lengths to ensure everyone’s safety. “Our team followed all the SOPs very strictly. Everyone’s temperature was checked and they were sanitised when they entered and exited the set,” said Qureshi.

“Much of the pre-production work had been completed before the lockdown,” Qureshi said, adding that the rest of the work on it was done over the phone and internet, except the shoot that took place under strict precautionary measures.

The first episode shows how a family of four, consisting of a couple and their two children go about their day when they cannot go outside, receive visitors or gear up as important tasks outside the home are to be done.

The episode was posted across social media and also Qureshi’s Game Over Productions YouTube Channel and will also be aired on various TV channels.
